So many people have headaches that turn into migraines. I am giving you a few ideas that you can try at home before a visit to my medical office. Here are a few tips:

• Avoid dairy as a possible food allergen; dairy is mucous-forming and can possibly worsen headaches.
• During the aura of the migraine, mix 2 heaping tablespoons of powdered ginger into 1 cup of warm water.
• Avoid food additives (for example monosodium glutamate, MSG) which are possible triggers for migraines.
• Increase peripheral circulation by putting feet in a hot Epsom salt bath. Use a cold pack on the forehead and neck at the same time.

Please also remember that an anti-inflammatory diet will heal your body! In future articles, I will explain more about the rhizomes of lotus root, ginger, and turmeric in the picture below.
