So many people think that eating healthy is difficult, and I’m going to show you that it’s easier than you think. It does require a change of mind, for sure. But it is joyful, fun, and certainly worth it.
Let me give you a few hints. Food does have energy, a certain vibration. Food and nutrition are the foundation of naturopathic medicine. I do not think that good nutrition is a bunch of supplements.
I firmly believe in the power of nature to heal through foods. Supplements are okay occasionally, but they will not change the body’s terrain or internal milieu, the substance that cells are made of. Food will.
Let’s navigate through food a little.
Citrus and fruit have an upward energy. Roots have an inward and downward energy. Meat and salts have an inward energy. Cinnamon has an outward energy. Isn’t it fascinating?
Garlic, cinnamon, and cayenne have a hot effect. Sweet flavor is replenishing.
Bitter flavor promotes healing by increasing digestion. How good are our dandelions and burdock here in Montana?! Salt flavor will help to excrete body wastes. Sour and astringent flavors, such as lemons and buttercup leaves, help the liver to function better.
Solanaceae family could trigger arthritis (potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, tobacco, and peppers). Sweet potatoes and yams are not considered solanaceaes.
Hope you enjoy getting to know the effects of the foods you eat.
To your health!
